Since 1986, Thavorn Beach Village Resort and Spa is the first on Phuket Island to offer this unique and fun travelling experience to and from our hillside rooms overlooking the Andaman Sea!
Our funiculars are influenced from Thai’s locomotive which is established since 1890. The technology of funiculars is always up-to-date as per our mission to send you to the room with safety but we still keep the design of funiculars and platform same as the first day that we made them. Our staffs who standby at the controller room and car will escort you from the ground-to-top with perfectly safety and professional service mind.
A fully safe funicular railway, the hillside funicular offers an exciting journey to your Hillside rooms. With its open design, you can partake the beautiful forest scenery along with sound of birds, squirrel, and leaf drop and combined between forest breeze and Nakalay breeze passing by as you make your way further and further up.
When you come to Thavorn Beach Village Resort and Spa, please do not forget to put on the funicular, close the funicular door, seat the belt, tell floor number, climb from the ground floor to top of hills at 6th floors, snap pictures, save on your memory (not only your memory card but also keep in on your memory also), and update status, vlog, blog, story and reel in your social platforms!
The funicular operates everyday from 07:00hrs to 23:00 hrs.
Hours may change from time-to-time depending on season. Be sure to check with us to confirm funicular operating hours. When the funicular is closed, please can call the reception desk and a car will be dispatched to pick you up.
